At PackBack, we believe sustainability should go beyond reducing waste. It should create meaningful change.
That’s why we’re proud to introduce our new partner: CARE Nederland - one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations, active in more than 120 countries.
Together, we’re transforming everyday returns into global opportunity.
Who is CARE?
CARE works worldwide to fight poverty and inequality, with a special focus on empowering women and building long-term change.
When a crisis hits, they act immediately. But their mission always looks beyond emergency relief toward sustainable solutions that give communities the tools to build their own future.
Two powerful examples from their work:
💧 Mozambique: access to clean water for school children
In northern Mozambique, more than a thousand students at a secondary school have limited access to clean water. During dry periods, water runs out completely. Without water, children cannot drink safely, wash their hands, or use toilets properly, affecting both health and school performance.
Girls are especially impacted. Without proper sanitation, menstrual hygiene becomes difficult, and many stay home from school.
CARE improves rainwater systems, expands water storage, and works with schools and communities on sustainable solutions.
Access to water here means access to opportunity.
🌱 Ethiopia: women building sustainable businesses
In Ethiopia, young women often face barriers to entrepreneurship: limited access to financing, networks, and training.
CARE provides training in entrepreneurship, financial planning, and leadership. As women grow their businesses, they build financial independence and strengthen entire communities.
When women grow stronger economically, everyone benefits.
